Roughriders U16 AAA move up to 14th in the Nation

Westminister, CO - The latest polls have come out and the Rocky Mountain Roughriders U16 AAA move up two spots to 14th in the Nation. MyHockeyRankings has moved the Roughriders up this week thanks in part to the Pikes Peak Miners tying Shattuck St. Mary 4-4 and losing the other two games with them by only 2 goals. That is a pretty solid performance against the number 1 team in the Nation.

The teams AGD or Average Goal Differential increased to 2.17 and the Strength of Schedule went up to 11.94. The Roughriders overall record is 19-4-0.

NAPHL Showcase San Jose: Roughriders 0 Motor City Metaljackets 2

San Jose, CA - The Rocky Mountain Roughriders struggled again on offense this morning as they dropped their second game in a row losing 0-2 to the Motor City Metaljackets. The Roughriders played well as a team this morning, but couldn't get the puck passed Vladyslav Slyusarchuk as he stopped all 14 shots he faced.

Evan Mccarthy got the start between the pipes for the Roughriders and played stellar. The only goal he gave up actually came off of his own defenseman's skate.

The Roughrider's had a chance to tie the game with 1:00 left in the 3rd when they pulled the goalie for the extra attacker, however a turnover in the neutral zone gave Jesse Macintyre and easy empty net dump in, closing out any chance at a comeback.
