NAPHL Showcase Blaine: Roughriders 1 St. Louis Selects 0

The Rocky Mountain Roughrider U16 team kicked off their tournament season with a trip to Blaine, Minnesota with 5 games at the Schwan Superrink. With 286 confirmed scouts in the building watching the best talent in the nation, stakes are high for all the boys. With great anticipation the boys hit the ice against the St. Louis Selects in sheet 8.

Both teams hit the ice with a bit of trepidation. Neither team looked particularly polished. As the game went on the Roughriders seemed to hit their stride. Adam Durkee scored the lone goal at 2:42 in the 1st period.

Roughriders outshot the Selects 24-13.
